So bad, it's good.
By Barnaby Kemp from Bath , 17 Mar 2005[Highly rated reviewer]
After sitting through this film all the way to the ludicrous ending (and wondering why I'd bothered), I decided that it raised enough unintentional laughs for it to be a worthwhile viewing experience. It manages to rip-of Jaws so frequently it's fantastic! The demise of the crocodile is so daft and rubbery I laughed out loud. And the scenes when it chases people, sheer brilliance - for a 6 year old with string, green paint and a cereal packet. I must have said 'why, just WHY would you do that?' 100 times as yet another character decides to take the short cut through the water, after witnessing their colleague getting chewed. And of course there's the obligatory boobs and humping scene, which takes place in what seems to be a rock-pool filled with blue Radox bath salts, in the middle of the jungle. The highlight for me was when one character, having been bitten in half, just hangs from the ceiling of the boat and looks around! I'm laughing now just thinking about it! Based on all of that, I suppose nobody will ever watch this film, which is a great shame because as crap films go, it's damn fine.- Was this review helpful to you?

(9)So Bad...It's Just Bad
By Otter379 (55 reviews) , 07 Mar 2013Absolutely dreadful. Some bad films have something, which gives them a sort of charm and elevates and buoys the film. This has nothing: poor plot, bad actors and the worse special effects i've seen. If you don't have a budget for monster effects, do a Jaws and keep the monster as hidden as possible. However, the worst effect is the pirate ship, it looks like a converted wooden building. Dire.- Was this review helpful to you?

Typical 'monster' movie
By Nic74 (38 reviews) from Catford , 17 Aug 2009If you like the stuff like Jaws, Crocodile, Anaconda etc, you'll be fine with Blood Surf. A massive croc has got in with the sharks and is eating everything in sight - including weirdos who want to surf with sharks...
Worth a rent, but only if you like 'monster' movies...- Was this review helpful to you?

Utterly terrible, and brilliant!
By a customer from Brighton, UK , 22 Apr 2009This film is so appalingly bad that it defies belief. So why the 5 stars?
I've never laughed so much at a film.
It's just really, really funny.
I totally see how lots of people hated it, and quite rightly gave it 1 star, but for sheer entertainment this film is quality!!- Was this review helpful to you?
