Blue Crush

Very much a 'girlie does good and beats her demons' all American teen flick. Having said that it was good, clean, action packed, easy watching with some gorgeous body beautifuls parading on the beach.
The beach and onset location scenes provide a visual feast for anyone looking for idyllic places in the sun. The female bonding plots explain a great deal to us unsuspecting males, who always fail to appreciate the inner strengths females find in each other despite the constant lure of romance, as the ultimate distraction. But which one wins?
The deleted scenes section added to the enjoyment with the Director (John Stockwell) giving a real insight on how to make a movie work and create a real impact.
Watch this and relax it won't tax your brain cells but you will feel better at the end, despite a little twist!- Was this review helpful to you?

(60)Guilty Pleasure
By Robinski (165 reviews) from Glasgow , 17 Oct 2011Despite the fact that it trots out another slight variant of the old familiar sporting plot, it's difficult not to root for our heroine and Kate Bosworth gives a good performance. The story is somewhat predictable, but a beautiful setting and likeable cast should be enough to persuade you to stick with it. Point Break for chicks, but none the worse for it.- Was this review helpful to you?

Don't be put off because it's a chick-flick!
By a customer from Horncastle , 08 Aug 2008Rent this! It's a good feel good movie with plenty of gorgeous boys and girls and amazing photography! But behind this is a very 'real' and genuine surf movie where all the actors/actresses really paddled out to Pipeline on the North Shore to film in deadly breakers over shallow razor sharp reefs. The director kept it 'real' using locals and bona fide professional surfers and it shows that Hawaii isn't always the paradise it's painted to be. Some of the extras on the DVD are worth a look too.- Was this review helpful to you?
