Although a lot of the material is familiar from the BBC Arena documentary it is used in a much more rootsical way. Many of the interviews run on for longer with edited portions now present. New contributions from the Marley Family make this a film not to be missed!

Only for true Marley fans, this DVD could and should of been so much more, some of the facts in it are incorrect or misleading. The title of the dvd was inappropriate as it doesn't really track the spiritual journey Bob made. Does have some footage that isn't on other documentaries about Bob, his music and his life. The man was a leader of men, he united people, supported people, was true to his cause, faith and God until his untimely passing. He is a legend, one of the worlds greatest composers, performers and to this day the bringer together of all races through his music and lyrics and his belief in love, peace and freedom for all; So why does this dvd do him an injustice. 5STARS only because its about Bob R.I.P Nesta JAH Bless

  • The Spiritual Journey?

The documentary doesn’t tell a thing about the spiritual journey of Bob Marley. The makers of the film speak about 'Rastafarian Ethiopian Orthodox Church'. There is no such a thing.

Bob Marley was a member of the Rastafarian movement and his spiritual journey took him to the Ethiopian Orthodox Church. Ethiopian Orthodox Church is one of many Orthodox Churches. Greek, Russian, Bulgarian (etc.) and Ethiopian Orthodox Churches (all Orthodox Churches) share the same believes.

It is not easy to be baptised in an Orthodox Church. Orthodox priests do not convert people by preaching on the streets. Bob Marley freely chose to become Orthodox Christian. He was baptised by the Archbishop of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church in Kingston, Jamaica, on 4 November 1980.

It was not a mistake of Bob Marley. He knew that he is going to die soon so he wanted to be with God. He is with God now, so he can plead to God directly for his people. This is my belief. It might be wrong, but the facts about life of Bob Marley are facts.

Why the makes of the film don't say a thing about it? What is the point of the film?
