Eight successful twenty-something professionals leave their jobs at the end of the day and enter the club-hopping L.A. nightlife to materialize their fantasies and do some serious partying. After one late evening of debauchery, two of the gang become passionately entangled and get way out of control. In the morning they must face the consequences of the events that took place between them while their friends try and extract the truth in their individual stories. A compellingly honest movie about sex and dating in the 90's.

Michael Cristofer can finally shed the tag of Bonfire of the Vanities screenwriter, for he has followed up his impressive TV movie, Gia, with this debate-sparking study of twentysomething morality. It looks like we've a long night ahead of us as eight near-identical Los Angelenos go through their pre-club rituals. However, when wannabe actress Tara Reid accuses pro-footballer Jerry O'Connell of date rape, the fun stops and sides are taken. Snappily shot in hip image bites by Rodrigo Garcia and astutely structured by writer David McKenna (American History X), this breaks no new ground but still manages to tease, amuse and provoke.
A drama of casual coupling, centred around the accusation of rape from one participant; what begins as comedy ends as a more earnest investigation of varying sexual attitudes, but it never strikes the right note in either part.
I want to burn this film from my mind. I just dont think films where the cast talk to the viewers of the film work (very hard to pull off) There was no real story line to this and the only part that was a story seemed to me that the writer could not think of a ending so just left the ending off. I would not waste renting this.
I wasn't sure what to expect from this film but was overall pleasantly surprised after seeing it. It basically deals with 20's somethings attitudes towards sex and dating, still very relevant today! A group of friends have a wild night out and the film reflects on the very different outcomes of that night for each member of the group including an allegation of rape!
Starring quite a well known cast now, including Tara Reid, in quite a well known scene, Amanda Peet and Jerry O'Connell. This is well acted and a different film to most with quite a few soundbites and asides to the viewer about societies view on the subjects raised. Quite a good film dealing with a difficult topic and very thought provoking. Well worth a look.
