  Good dramatisation of the main issues

  John Thaw makes Harris a bit louder and more prone to losing his temper than the real Harris. But it is a drama and the main issues are brought out well. You get Robert Hardy as Churchill which is a bonus. Anyone interested in Bomber Command and the controversy around bombing German cities will find this well worth a look. The production is a little dated by modern standards but it doesn't spoil anything.

  bomber harris

  accurate portrail of a man tormented by his vision of how to end the war quickly but in conflict with many who dissented from bombing civilian populations. Mainly of interest for those interested in biographical accounts of complex people.
