I was just a wee lad when this was on tv in the 70s and it brought back some great memories. Some of the sketches are hillarious, it's completely un-pc and there's a whole host of "star" guests, like Alvin Stardust, John Inman, Lulu, Henry Cooper and even Demis Roussos! Excellent.- Was this review helpful to you?

Great Nostalgia - but could do better!
By Vroomfondel from Pembrokeshire , 13 Jan 2006Well, I had to rate this highly as I was a huge Basil Brush fan. Eagerly anticipating Saturday evening's show which, along with Doctor Who was essential viewing back then. However I can't help thinking there must have been better material available than some of that which is included on this disc. Also, I would rather have seen, perhaps, whole individual shows rather than just the snippets supplied. There was also room on the disc for far more material than the fifty minutes provided. After all is said and done it's Basil Brush. So a six, if only for the Demis Roussos segment. But not quite a seven I'm afraid - and it really should have been!- Was this review helpful to you?

Basil Brush
By a customer from Wales , 16 Dec 2005What a joy to see Basil at his best from the 70's BBC Tv series. Some real Gems in here, pity it is only a 50 min compilation though.Would love to see more episodes from the BBC. The best bit has to be the conker fight and the end story.- Was this review helpful to you?

Let's do the time warp!

Very pleasant way to pass an hour, I'd forgotten how funny the old Basil Brush shows were.
The jokes were just as corny the second time round, but I used to love Basil's terrible puns.- Was this review helpful to you?
