Bopha

This film shows the reality of life in a nation under cruel repression, particularly apartheid. The twist with Glover the loyal enforcer {just like the vichy french}and his son who supports the rebels. This was an absorbing film and shows life so alien to our own. Worth watching.- Was this review helpful to you?

(4)Blacks v. Whites in South Africa
By Cato (705 reviews) from Lydbury North , 11 Feb 2013A solidlyy produced film with a good story about racial unrest in 1980s South Africa. Danny Glover shines as the police sergeant with divided loyalties.- Was this review helpful to you?

Not a feel good film.

Great acting tells the harrowing story of Apatheid South African family who are trust into danger by the unjust system. On one hand a father trying to provide for his family and on the other friends and family members fighting against the system.
A harrowing film.- Was this review helpful to you?

Enforcement message
By a customer from Portsmouth, UK , 28 Feb 2006Having watched Sarafina which is also based on the same plot, I would not say it glued me to my seat, although it reinforced the point about independence and having your own freedom and your rights. These are key to human existence- Was this review helpful to you?
