Denmark's answer to the West Wing, and then some

Wonderful series, Denmark's answer to the West Wing, with slightly more realism about the compromises that even idealistic people in politics end up making once they get power. Borgen is also very good for showing the relationship between journalists and the politicians and spin-doctors. Highly entertaining, really top quality, an excellent cast, most of whom are gorgeous to look at as well as making their characters come to life. Roll on the next series!
By weeducks (1 review) , 18 Mar 2013Loved this series and now on the second one... enjoying it immensely too. The acting is superb from all quarters with a special mention of the young daughter. Much better than any American depiction of politics in my opinion but possibly because it is more in keeping with our own ways being a small country. Lived up to expectations
By a customer , 27 Jan 2013Missed it on TV and I am glad I have now caught up with it on DVD. Excellent series, stories very good and cast first-rate. The situations could apply to politics in many countries including Britain and USA. I am now catching up with the latest series on TV having recorded them this time!- Was this review helpful to you?

Another Scandinavian success

For fans of intelligent drama
