The Wachowskis' ultra-modern update of classic film noir stars Jennifer Tilly as Violet, the voluptuously alluring and well-pampered mistress of mob man Ceasar (Joe Pantoliano). Violet is the kind of woman who can catch any man's eye, but she's more interested in the tough, sexy, new handywoman next door named Corky (Gina .. Read more

The Warshowski Brothers before The Matrix:
Two women take over the Chicago mob! They are lovers. Straight enough plot! What the Warshowski Brothers add to this movie is utter class! The camera angles, the use of sound are astounding. They take the gangster genre to a new level! Forget Goodfellas - rent this! Visually impeccable, a really good two hours of pure entertainment!
Bound is smart, sexy in style, and doesn't shy away from showing sex the way it really is. I've heard of this movie years before, but I never got around to see it. Damn, am I glad I did. Why? It's simple: Bound rules.
It's an engaging movie that takes twists and turns here and there, but also manages to realistically convey a love relationship one might never thought of accepting, well, simply because one didn't know much about it. Bound isn't here to change your perception, but it's here to make you more aware, if you like it or not. It's not just a movie about lesbian sex, no, oh no, it's much more!
Corky (Gershon), a lesbian ex con hired to work in an apartment as a plumber, meets neighbors Caesar (Pantoliano), who launders money for the Mafia, and his girlfriend Violet (Tilly). The two women have a love affair and decide to steal $2,000,000 that Caesar has in custody before he gives them back to Mafia boss Gino Marzone. Things start to go wrong and Bound kicks into high gear.
This description doesn't do the movie any justice, so instead of reading this crap about what the story is, just go rent the movie!!!
The movie's working title was The Business. That has got to be one of the most generic titles I've heard in a very long time, along with The Assignment. 'Shiver me timbers, Phillip.'
Anyhow, this DVD version of Bound is the unrated cut. It's one minute longer than the R-rated version
Parental warning - this movie contains explicit lesbian sex scenes and plenty of gratuitous violence. It's also a brilliant cliff-hanger of a thriller! What a combination - rent it today!
A good rip off the mob movie. Not overly predicable, and with a decent enough story. Although erotic, it doesn't make vulgar use of this, or linger on the sex scenes. The visuals of this movie are stunning, and it's well worth a watch to spot all the little touches that ended up in The Matrix. Those brothers love their matt black ringing telephones! It did keep me guessing toward the end, but didn't do what I thought it would do (watch the movie, and this will make sense). Nice twists, and sexy turns in a refreshingly un-Hollywood manner.
High Points: Good cast; That matt black ringing telephone that we have all come to know and love.
Low points: Over use of stereotyping.
Upon realising that "The Matrix" trilogy is terrible, and the directing/story is awful, I needed more, solid proof that the Wachowski's are really bad at what they claim to be.
But, this suprised me. I was expecting a poor excuse to get some lesbian action on the screen, but instead found an interesting plot, and ACTUAL evidence of character development.
Pantaliano is the real gem of this flick, far out acting everyone else, but none the less, they some how get the job done. With a mildly bloody finale, its worth a rent at least, but, the Wachowskis are no way near the greats.

An excellent movie, where two women cleverly outdo the mafia with great cunning.
A good casting with all characters, laden with sexuality at the beginning, which quickly develops into tense and gripping action as the girls plot the theft of the mafia's money.
Great movie!

Well now. Gangsters, money and lesbians. Filmed back when the Wachowski Brothers knew how to make good movies, Bound tells the story of two women who conspire to rip off the Mob for two million bucks. Taut plotting, plenty of suspense... oh, and two pretty women having sex. Who could ask for more? Shallow? Me?
This film was pretty good, despite the lesbian aspect. The Wachowski brothers made this before making the Matrix, and so it features some good camera angles and direction. Well written and with some tense moments, this is a film you can watch and enjoy, well acted and produced.
I thought this was going to be a typical girl on girl film a couple of raunchy scenes with no story line. How wrong I was! It was a really good thriller with a good story line. A bit gory in places especially the bathroom scene, lets just say a finger and a pair of garden pruners uuuugghh! Gina Gershon plays the butch (Yeah Right!) Lesbian who falls for Jennifer Tilly (The Gangsters Moll). They team up and prepare to steal the Mafia's money. Do they or don't they! Watch it and see.
