Obviously, as a massive Trevor Eve fan, I was going to watch this. But I wasn't really impressed by it, I have to say, though it made a lot more sense in the second half. I was troubled by the vendetta which the son in law was carrying on, and couldn't understand why - I'm afraid I had Gavin Sorenson down as a very bad egg!

But his actions became clear and even understandable, if not entirely rational, by the second part. Instead, I then became troubled by Peter (Trevor Eve's part). I think I can only say that Peter is completely bonkers as well as pretty amoral, and there is no reason given as to why this should be. Anyone who spends all day every day watching the same video of his daughter instead of working has got to be a little strange, surely?

I'm told I should see the original of this series, which was much better. Perhaps one day I will, but not just yet.

This was fantastic! I really enjoyed it! I was unsure at first as I am a big fan of Waking the Dead and Trevor Eve but it exceeded expectations!!

  • What a load of rubbish

This was absolutely awful. Very unrealistic - the characters seem to either vastly overeact or under-react to the unfolding events. This just leaves you thinking that you can't relate to the characters because no normal person would react in that way. Avoid this one.

  • Not as good as the original

I was somewhat disappointed as it's not as good as original series from 1976, particularly as certain liberties have been taken with the storyline.

In saying that it is still worth a watch as Trevor Eve pulls off a great performance.
