Interesting early Scorsese

Based on the true life exploits of a female boxcar rider (which I would have thought would have been a lot more trouble then she gets) during the depression. Barbera Hershey is good as Bertha, David Carradine reminds you that he can act and is very good as one of her lovers who is a union man and Scorsese keeps the story going along with some of the finesse he had yet to fully mature into.
