This charming romantic comedy reinforces the idea that love sometimes finds individuals where they're least expecting it. Ryan (Freddie Prinze, Jr.) is an Industrial Engineering major at the University of California at Berkeley. He and his best friend Jennifer (Claire Forlani) have known each other since they were twelve, although their relationship has always been rocky. As graduation nears, the two begin to realize that they may have been standing beside their perfect partner from the very beginning. An attractive cast, highlighted by the two leads, makes this a movie that audiences will undoubtedly fall in love with.

Although closer in spirit to the Meg Ryan school of romantic comedies than American Pie and its sexy contemporaries, this is no teen When Harry Met Sally…. A miscast Claire Forlani (who's far too pretty to be this insecure) forms a close friendship with Freddie Prinze Jr (who's far too handsome to be a nerd), taking the entire movie to reach the obvious amorous conclusion. This patchwork quilt of clichés from other smarter, sassier movies, is not aided by the clumsy episodic structure and grating, one-dimensional characters. Even the pop soundtrack, so often a saving grace in films of this type, fails to sparkle.
Not an amazing film but one worth watching all the same. A teenage rom-com I guess you'd call it, set in San Francisco (got to be a good thing) and starring some rather good looking 20 somethings who do a good job at acting 18! A nice movie to watch if your not expecting too much from it.
Good film. Funny and mushy, I would recommed a look to those who like that sort of film.
