An unmistakeable supposition that has previously succeeded numerous times -- flesh-eating zombies unleash chaos among the living -- is taken not only to the extreme: here it just makes going over the top seem like a weak cliché. It completely jumps straight over a cliff and never bothers to return to any sense of normalcy. Fantastic !
Peter Jackson is a legend, this movie refuses to cease bombarding you with horror and hilarity. This insanely entertaining flick has buckets and buckets of blood and gore, probably one of the (if not THE) bloodiest around.
Zombie Sex, bodies being ripped apart in every way imaginable, organs being eaten, kung-fu, mass slaughter with a lawnmower, zombie pregnancy, talking intestines, gallons of blood, extreme use of pus. What more could you wish for ?

By ColaSmoke (6 reviews) , 03 May 2013Despite advances in special effects, make-up and CGI, supberb effects will always be superb. This film has them in abundance. So much hard work, planing and invention has clearly gone into their execution. The spectacle is fun to watch for a while. But the focus on neat effects kills the entertainment of the last 30 mins, turning it into a repetative bore that lacks the humour of the first hour.- Was this review helpful to you?

Okay, it is all rather silly and some of the effects look a bit amateurish by today's standards but who gives a damn!?- just sit back and enjoy. Great fun!- Was this review helpful to you?

But in all honestly i had heard alot about this movie, just got around to watching it and my god i was not disappointed it just gets more and more over the top throughout the entire movie, the practical effects are disgustingly good on alot of 'happenings' if thats a word, oh well... but i would say if your a fan of the likes of 'the evil dead' and its horrible but at the same time brilliant acting and cheesiness then watch this, I think it actually has everything!- Was this review helpful to you?
