French Cop Drama - Not to be missed.
By a customer , 12 May 2012[Highly rated reviewer]
There is only one word for this crime thriller - Brilliant! I am not a particular fan of subtitles but the strong storyline and excellent acting really tell the story and the french accents give it a real gritty atmosphere. The story revolves around a team of detectives who believe that the end justifies the means - they are being constantly pursued by internal affairs who believe that their style of policing should be outlawed. What with the villains on one side always looking for revenge and internal affairs on the other the team go from one scrape to another. Absolutely unmissable!- Was this review helpful to you?

(24)Outstanding French Police Drama
By a customer , 18 Mar 2013As a television series, this is one of the best; hard hitting and credible, it tells a gritty story of Parisian police in an Internal Affairs enquiry, following gratuitous violence against a suspect. Dialogue and plotlines are excellent - on a par with NYPD Blue, with acting equally good. Do not miss!- Was this review helpful to you?

Can't wait for Series 3
By a customer , 07 Feb 2013I really enjoyed this series. What a change from the meticulously coiffed, manicured & made-up characters that we're used to in American series that we're usually exposed to. This team of French cops is unwashed and sweaty - you can almost smell them! You can tell they're dealing with the criminal underworld. Brilliant. Gritty & atmospheric filming to match the story-lines. It maintains a slow & steady escalation of injustices, mishaps or disasters that befall the team with insinuations of corruption at higher levels as they track down certain criminal elements. The individual characterisations & their back stories add interest to the main plot so there are several side stories occurring alongside this. These serve to add depth and sympathy to the characters and, as they help each other, also serve to bind them together as a team. I've also watched Series 2, which ended with an unfinished cliffhanger with scope for one of the plot-lines to be continued. Apparently Series 3 is to be shown on French TV in June (2013) and I shall definitely be watching this when it arrives.- Was this review helpful to you?

A great crime drama
By goooner (1 review) , 31 Dec 2012A great crime thriller, much better than most English or American cop dramas, I'm about to get the next season. Actors, directors and screenplay writers could easily make Holywood and be successful- Was this review helpful to you?
