If you're an eight-year-old girl then there's a good chance that this is the best film ever made, with its bright, poppy songs, in-your-face fashions and aspirational teen heroines
While most movies based on toys are animations, this spin-off of the ethnically-diverse range of dolls is a live action... read more on Time Out

I havent seen this film, and dont intend to.
First of all, I'm the wrong audience- being adult male. Secondly, I hate stereotyping and materialistic people.... so I was expecting to hate this film to the very core of my blackened soul.
If you think it's ok for the pre-teens of today to be as materialistic and 'fashion' driven as these characters, or that it's a good thing to have people sixteen and younger to dress like prostitutes, or if you think that the mention of MySpace, MTV and the use of slow motion and splitscreen is cool... then what's not to like about this film? Every shot has a splash of pink in it just for you.
Suprisingly however, if you have read this far without hating me, I'm going to take a step back and tell you that despite it being cliched and predictable to the dot, containing very fogettable music and some truly nonsensical plot threads.... I didn't kill myself. Therefore, it must be fun for someone out there.
In the end, if you like this sort of thing (and sadly some people do) then you'll love this. But if you are anything like me.... you'll survive it, not like it.
My daughters aged 8 couldnt wait to see this film they LOVE Bratz but they really didn't enjoy this film. It was boring (their own words). But as usual on these reviews what someone dislikes others do like.
MY DAUGHTER REALLY LIKED THIS & IT'S PROBABLY ONE THAT'S BETTER FOR THE YOUNGSTERS.
My nine year old and her friend thoroughly enjoyed this film. Nice and girly, usual type of storyline, but well done and entertaining. Lighthearted and fun.

this dvd was for my sister for christmas and she's 8, i thought it would be ok because i thought high school musical 2 and jump in were good films but this has no good story line and isn't really that funny, just full of annoying bratz!! but it's ok to keep the children quiet for an hour but thats it.....
Great teenage movie, entertaining and fun to watch about friendship...educational...moral...all in all a happy ending!
MY DAUGHTER REALLY LIKED THIS & IT'S PROBABLY ONE THAT'S BETTER FOR THE YOUNGSTERS.
My 11 and 12 yr old daughters, who qualify totally having the attitude and demeanour to be worthy pundits, said it was rubbish. Which means good, right ?..
Very Good family film for the girls, lots of fun and singing in the movie.
my daughter loved this film and i too liked the moral of the story. its a proper girly film and any young girl will love this film
