One of the best films I've ever seen

I got this film because of Stellan Skarsgard. i love the Skarsgard family of actors, Particularly Alexander!

I didn't know what to expect but I thought it was amazing. I agree with the first positive review apart from the Joan of Arc analogy - oh I just got it :She talks to god! but in a multiple personality way not as if she has a direct line.

I don't agree with the person who said they can't understand why such a wonderful actress as Emily Watson would appear in it. it was her amazing acting that kept me going. She deserved an Oscar for her portrayal. I wondered if, as it was in chapters, the film was originally made for TV in Scandinavia to be shown in episodes?

The scenery and music were both outstanding.

The only negative I found was the lack of English subtitles - every country in Scandinavia was covered though!
