I didn't get it really.... I found this very tedious, and despite the English title it was far from racy. I was expecting something remarkable, full of kinetic energy. Instead it seemed extremely dated - slowly paced, visually uninspired with terribly pedestrian dialogue and shoddy editing. Perhaps the cheesy violence is meant to be a humorous homage to the American B movie, cutting away from crashes and gun shots in an attempt to avoid censorship. I just thought it was cheap. Furthermore, something about it felt very smug and self-congratulatory: apparently 'cool' and hip when really it's vacuous and morally bankrupt, as cool generally tends be in all aspects of life. This film tries to strike a pose and in doing so reveals itself to be similar to most posers - ignorant and superficial and, in the end, annoying. Maybe the title actually refers to the state of the actors in their later years after having spent so much of their lives puffing Gauloises.
