I know my jungle.

You know you're in trouble with a film that begins with a montage of stock footage and right from its shaky start Bride of the Gorilla is a mediocre jungle chiller which develops into an absurd psychological melodrama. It's reminiscent of great 40's horrors The Wolfman, Cat People and I Walked with A Zombie, but lacks the direction, strorytelling and suspense of those films and the cast appear listless and disinterested. The film is a wearying experience in an exceedingly fake Amazon jungle setting where, in the real world, there aren't any gorillas.- Was this review helpful to you?
