    [Highly rated reviewer]

'Cary Grant and Katharine Hepburn run around after a leopard' is all you really need to know. It relies on slapstick for a fair part of the film, as well as Grant's impressively full range of comedy face pulling.

It's a good watch. Kind of a Sunday afternoon film suitable for the kiddies (if you can prise them away from the latest animated disney mush). If you want to see Grant and Hepburn doing a much better job then 'The Philadelphia Story' is a much better choice. Oh yes indeedy.

  • Pretty dated stuff

I found this unwatchably stupid. Cary Grant and Katherine Hepburn run around in a ditzy chaotic rush shouting at each other while a leopard flits around in the background. Do you think that stupid people are funny? I found this film feeling too dated to be a classic.

Bringing Up Baby is one of my all time favourite screwball comedies. Katharine Hepburn and Cary Grant just bounce off each other and are superb in their roles. The supporting cast hold their own and in some scenes are even funnier than the leads. If you want to watch a black and white movie from the 30's to watch, then this is the one for you.

Only Some Like it Hot is better when it comes to comedy in my book (actually, I might even make it a tie!)

I loved this film and thought Katherine Hepburn played the character really well, she was scatty and high energy and enthusiastic and I got caught up in the buzz and the excitement. Loved it.

One of the best slapstick comedies ever- yes it's dated in part but you have to accept it for what it is- it was made in 1938 by 2 of the funniest actors of all time and simply a classic. A prefer Sunday afternoon movie.
