Mixed feelings

Interesting viewing for anyone keen in learning a little about St Francis of Assisi, but possibly not a great film in its own right.

Some of the Franciscan ethos is explored and the scene with Pope Innocent III was excellent and still very relevant today. It was worth watching for that alone.

It's lovely to see a Franciscan film, but it was a bit slow and turgid in places. It could do with a re-make I think.
