Bruce Lee - True Story

Starring Bruce Lee, Bruce Li
Director See-Yuen Ng
Run time 85 mins Certificate 18

24th October 2005

If you ever wanted to see Bruce Lee take on Hwang Jang Lee, then this movie is for you! Not that Bruce Lee is in this movie, besides his imitator - Bruce Li. Bruce Li's done better films so I'd only recommend this movie if you've seen those (click onto my name to find reviews of Bruce Li's films) or if you're a hardcore martial arts movie fan. The fight scenes in this aren't as good as something like Chinese Stuntman.

This film is essentially a spin-off/parody of Bruce Lee's classic film 'The Way Of The Dragon'. It even has the same Chinese interpreter from said film, Paul Wei Ping Ao.

For those who've seen Game Of Death 2 and 18 Bronzemen or Born Invincible, Roy Horan and Carter Wong is in this.

An entertaining movie though I suggest that if you want to see this movie, buy the disc called The Bruce Lee Story as that's the uncut version with the nunchaku scenes as part of this film rather than as a deleted scenes feature. There will be a new release of this film coming out called Bruce Lee's Secret so I suggest you keep your eye out for that one.

Despite the images of the front cover of this DVD, this film is not the uncut version of Bruce Lee: The Man, The Myth.
