Bruno

Sacha Baron Cohen and 'Borat' director Larry Charles reunite to bring the brilliantly tasteless exploits of Bruno to the big screen! When Europe turns its back on Bruno, he crosses the ocean to find fame in the US, but how will the American public take to the outrageous Austrian? Very badly!

When clueless homosexual fashionista Bruno, the presenter of Funkyzeit (the most popular fashion programme in every German-speaking country apart from Germany), is effectively banned from Europe following a disastrous incident at a show, he sets his sights on America. With his former assistant's assistant, Lutz, as his only ally, the fashionmonger tries to conquer the US as only he knows how - as tastelessly as possible! Will Bruno achieve the fame he so desperately craves?

    Borat really was sooo 2006!

I watched a preview of this last night and i have to say it lived up to the hype. Hilarious, horrifying, blasphemous, irreverent, moronic, lavatorial and incredible. There are a few flat spots however and i am unconvinced that nobody was in on the gag, unlike Borat.

SBC is undoubtedly a creative and comedy genius and has balls of steel. He frequently puts Bruno in situations where others would not dare (or would want) to tread. There are moments when you genuinely fear for his safety. On the whole it delivers. If you didnt like Borat, stay away!

Jackson's axed Bruno scene included in DVD release

    • 05 Nov 2009

La Toya Jackson's axed cameo in Sacha Baron Cohen's outrageous comedy Bruno has been restored for the movie's DVD release. The singer, who fails to recognise Cohen behind his disguise as the gay fashionista, storms out of the interview after the comedian... Read more
