[Highly rated reviewer]When writeing this review just after seeing the film I still dont know what too think really. The only words come too my head are 'WTF', because thats all I can think when watching this movie.
I loved all his previous movies and still do but I dont know he's a hard man too understand how he plays the part so well and yet you think he's gay but you know he's not...I think.
Dont expect serious funny in this movie its all slapstick and over the top are carn't belive I just saw that.
Well, if ya get paid to do and it lights ya candle then go for it but please not in face.

Dedicated Follower of FashionBy Jon Duckworth from Nottingham, England , 31 Dec 2009The latest big screen offering from Sasha Baron-Cohen, Larry Charles and Dan Mazer shines the spotlight on one of Sasha's lesser known characters: the vapid, self-obsessed, moronic fashion reporter, Bruno. Following much the same template as the superior 'Borat', 'Bruno' follows the titular hero's attempts to become famous in the US - by any means necessary. In this case, that means inviting Paula Abdul to eat dinner off a naked Mexican, showing an appalling pilot show to a focus group of disgusted TV viewers, and, in some of the film's funniest scenes, adopting an African baby. When he decides to go straight (like John Travolta, Tom Cruise and Kevin Spacey) some telling scenes expose prejudice against homosexuals. But herein lies much of what is wrong with 'Bruno'. He never skews his targets in the same way as he did with 'Borat' or in his TV interviews as Ali G. Indeed, its difficult to know who the real target is. When a baying crowd protest at his simulated sex with a gay lover, it's hard to tell whether the disgust is genuine homophobia or just plain disgust! It's also true that many of the situations look more set up than they did in 'Borat'. So 'Bruno' is ultimately a less successful film than its predecessor, and its title character harder to love, but it deserves its 4 stars for the consistent rate of belly laughs and the sheer bravado of Sasha Baron-Cohen, for whom comedy, apparently, has no boundaries.
Very funny with a serious point as well.By a customer from London , 30 Dec 2009After Borat I was wondering what Baron Cohen could do in the same mould of humour and this film is much better than I expected. It combines outrageous humour with a subtle moral about tolerance or the lack of it towards homosexuality, especially in the US. The DVD commentary is worth hearing to learn all the narrow escapes with psychotic violence the makers had. It's amazing the film was ever made and a credit to all involved. Definitely see this and cringe. Ordinarily I don't like seeing ordinary people made fun of but the people in this film deserve it and ought to be made to watch and be ashamed of themselves. I can't understand how someone can't find this film cringingly funny.
BrunoBy a customer from London, England , 19 Dec 2009Probably one of the worst films I have ever seen. The contrived and staged plot set ups that worked so well in Borat just seem lazy and uninspired here. A mess of a film.
Adult Humour at its most jaw droppingBy TinkerbellPan (53 reviews) from Leeds , 24 Nov 2009If you cant work out how Sasha can once again push everything to its limits then your wrong.
This is defiantly an adult movie, ultimately if you not shocked by the variety things you can find on the world wide web then this will still make you gasp.
Utterly brilliant, I have not laughed so much in ages.
How is he not in jail I do not know.
This years 'Balls of Steel' award goes to Bruno.
