The third double-bill of Paramount's Bulldog Drummond adventures finds our intrepid hero, his ever-patient fiancee, his butler and his idiotic best friend Algy going off to Morocco to rescue Colonel Neilsen when he's kidnapped by a dastardly super-spy, and then tracking down the hidden treasure in his own house, which is craved by a dodgy cove pretending to be the new butler. It's all done with as much style as is possible on a budget of twenty pence, but you just know that thirties audiences must have felt themselves spoiled for such prime entertainment. There's nothing profound or even particularly intelligent about these films, but they achieve a level of fun which few others from any era manage. On their own terms, they are warmly recommended.
