Burn After Reading takes UK number one

The Coen brothers' latest film Burn After Reading has gone straight to the top of the UK and Ireland box office chart, almost doubling the takings of its closest rival. A black comedy starring Brad Pitt, George Clooney and John Malcovich, the film pulled in some £2.04 million during its first three days in cinemas. The Coen brothers new film Burn After Reading has been met with a mixed reception following its premiere at the Venice Film Festival. New thriller Lakeview Terrace has claimed the number one spot from the Coen brothers on the US box office chart.
