This calamitous comedy might appeal to those youngsters who thought that Daniel Stern being pummelled in Home Alone was hilariously funny. Here, Stern is a doltish delivery man who poses as a scout leader while trying to beat a murder rap. After just a couple of bruising mishaps you begin to long for the infinitely more subtle slapstick of scoutmaster William Powell in I Love You Again or even Fred MacMurray's wholehearted dib-dobbing in Follow Me, Boys!. It's as if, having been upstaged by Macaulay Culkin, Stern was determined not to let it happen again. Big mistake!
Crude, brash, loud would-be comedy, with a manic central performance; its intended audience of children is likely to find it as unamusing as any adults unfortunate enough to watch it.
Bushwhacked is full of hilarious and entertaining scenes that is guaranteed to keep the kids excited all the way through. Daniel Stern plays briliantly as a dim-wit delivery guy whose framed for murder...but, things go wrong and he heads towards Devil's Peak with a bunch of adventure seeking kids to intercept the last delivery. Mistaken as a scount leader, he's left with little choice but to tag along with the kids. The film portrays an adventure through the rocky american mountains packed with amusing encounters that will keep your kids to the edge of their seats. All my kids loved this movie and I must say, I enjoyed it too! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
Film had its moments. Most suitable for young children who liked Daniel Stern in Home Alone.
