Brilliant crime drama
The forensics-based CSI dramas have to be among my favourite crime shows on TV, and Vegas is perhaps the best of the three. Season 5 did slightly go down in quality, mainly due to the separation of the main cast into two different shifts, but it still remained captivating TV.
Episodes of particular note in the second half of the season include Nesting Dolls, where Sara's past is revealed (although the rest of the episode is a bit boring), Commitment, and the two-parter season finale, Grave Danger - directed by Quentin Tarantino - where Nick is kidnapped and buried alive. The latter is in some ways very un-CSI; the style is different, less science-orientated, but still definately worth a watch.
If you like crime shows, watch CSI. But start on an earlier season, not this one! -
