This show is now standing on its own merits as a gripping thriller.The Characters have established themselves and the storylines are fresh and unpredictable. Horatio Caine isn't as charasmatic as his Las Vegas counterpart but still convincing as an expert in his field.

Great show.

A very good show that carries on the excellent traditions set by the original CSI:Vegas series. Character wise it doesnt quite match up to the Vegas series in my opinion but is still a very enjoyable and well written show and definately something you should add to your selection list.

Fantastic fun!

Miami is far more light-hearted and bright than the Vegas series, helped by the fact the Horatio and his team are the day shift, and Miami is shot with such bright saturation of colour. The cases they deal with in Series 2 do have serious moments, but there's time for character development as well.

Favourite episodes, for me, are Blood Brothers, which introduces recurring villain Clavo Cruz and Witness to Murder, one of the sadder, more poignant episodes which gives Horatio a real chance to shine with his compassion. There's also nice moments for Calleigh in dealing with her father and her relationship with John Hagen, and for Eric in dealing with a case where Detective Frank Tripp is involved.

Overall, I'd say Season 2 is the strongest season of Miami so far - it's got the right mix of explosive action and forensic drama, where later seasons seem more concerned with making Horatio into an action hero. Miami is my favourite of all the CSI series, and Season 2 is the best of the seasons.

Elegant Investigation

These episodes introduce you to a group of criminalists who will take you through the crime scenes and not treat you like a child.

I particlarly like the special effects and the photography, both of which are stunning.

The stories are always interesing and you can watch them over and over again.

Rent this series and have fun.

OK TV show

Not as good as the Shield.Far too formulaeic and and the main character of Horatiuo Caine is too fervent to be believable as the character.

Excellent Series

This show is now proving to be a great show in it's own merit. since Horatio appeared in CSI it was only time until his own show arrived. The Characters have established themselves and the storylines are fresh and unpredictable. Horatio Caine is really convincing as an expert in his field. David Caruso has defenetly fallen into a natural roll here and is as good if not better than his NYPD days.
