What's British about It, Mr Lawrie?
By Goldenboots (53 reviews) from East Grinstead, England , 10 Apr 2004[Highly rated reviewer]
Reviewer Dave Lawrie (above) says we should support this film as it will support the British Film Industry. Sorry, what has that got to do with this film as it is an American production all the way!!!!!!! The film itself is the most overrated horror I have ever seen. Poor script, dreadful cutting, wooden acting, poor visuals, very average make overs. OK late at night movie, but any other time don't bother.- Was this review helpful to you?

(660)Sam-Raimi tribute?
By Pennywise (4 reviews) from Cambs , 28 Sep 2010If you're like me and you enjoy a good B-movie horror that doesn't take itself too seriously then i would give this a go. An almost promising introduction from Eli Roth that was unfortunately followed up by the Hostel series.
So it goes in the same vein as many before....some kids go to party in a cabin but there's like something totally evil and then it tries to spoil the party and then some other stuff happens.....it's not original, it's not great, but it's highly watchable as a horror-comedy.
Acting's pretty good, considering, but can't match Bruce Campbell's eyebrows unfortunately....- Was this review helpful to you?

By a customer from Essex , 04 Mar 2010A boring 'B' movie with a touch of the ridiculous, so if you want a film to fall asleep to, this is the one!- Was this review helpful to you?

The box says 'Scary as Hell'
By JimOo (153 reviews) from Epsom , 03 Mar 2010I say, what the eff are you talking about, scary my arse, I have seen scarier episodes or Coronation Street.
That said it was watchable, fairly well made, had a bit of shock horror, but not much.
If you fancy a horror film, there are better ones out there, much better.- Was this review helpful to you?
