amazing film
By open (232 reviews) , 11 May 2012[Highly rated reviewer]
This was a great film told over 40 years. Vanessa Paradis was brillant as a mum of a downs son and Kevin Parent was as good as the DJ set in present day. If you like something a bit offbeat then see this. The director also did C. R. A. Z. Y which was alos something unique- Was this review helpful to you?

Need To Concentrate
By buffyrules (335 reviews) from southend on sea , 28 Feb 2013A challenging film that attacks the senses on many levels. Yes there is alot going on and whilst watching you may feel the need to rewind and watch again. It is worth checking out message boards to get theories etc but ultimately there is some very good film making here. Great soundtrack from Sigur ros.- Was this review helpful to you?

Beautiful and stunning movie
By a customer , 16 Feb 2013Wonderful film, stunning performances all round, soundtrack outstanding. Deeply moving love story portraying obsessive love, despair and also hope. The love triangle situation in one of the story lines is something one could really relate to if in or having been in a similar situation.- Was this review helpful to you?

Strong acting, lovely music.
By a customer , 27 Jan 2013I thought the relationship between Vanessa Paradis and her son was very strong in this film and enjoyed the scenes with them in. I also loved the music and atmosphere. If you love films with 'mood' and atmosphere you will like this film.- Was this review helpful to you?

Watchable but could have been better
By Geofbob (40 reviews) , 25 Dec 2012There are two separate stories being told here, in different countries & at different times. They both involve love - man/woman; mother/son - but don't waste your time looking for connections until the writer/director begins to reveal them, & then you may not like them. It's a pity, but the finished movie is less than the sum of its parts.- Was this review helpful to you?
