Call It Murder
30th March 2005
For a film stating it 'starred' Humphrey Bogart, it was clearly just trading on the only recognisable name in this stagey and static period piece.
Badly recorded, from original wax cylinder by the sound of it, and poor quality picture, did nothing to detract from the pretentious story of a woman condemned to the electric chair for killing her lover.
I'm such a Bogart fan, but even I would dissuade anyone from renting this, Bogart is on screen for a small fraction of the 70 minutes running time.
