The film quality was so poor it was hard to judge. The idea behind the plot seemed a good one but the acting came over as wooden and I couldn't decide in the end whether the daughter was supposed to have done it or whether the DA was constructing a cover-up to repay the father. Curious to see Bogart in a walk-on part.
