Really enjoyed this mini-series. I'm not sure how much dramatic licence was taken with the true history of the Cambridge spies (I have only a limited knowledge of their lives), but this was a beautifully made, well-acted and engrossing story. I found that my Cold War perception of Blunt, Burgess, Philby and Maclean (I'm a child of the 70's when the red menace was seemingly very real) changed after watching this. In the historical context of the time in which they embraced Communism it is easy to comprehend why they thought they were doing the right thing. And irrespective of the politics, this is a very well-told story of friendship, loyalty, love and betrayal.
