    Fed up with his nerdy reputation at high school, Patrick Dempsey pays sexpot senior Amanda Peterson a hard-earned $1,000 to pose as his girlfriend for a month. The image-building works fine until she blows the gaff, and... well, guess. A very predictable boy meets, hires and loses girl saga, this is given far too sentimental a spin to work well as romantic comedy in the “Pretty Woman goes to college” vein. However, Peterson does her level best, providing some fun along the way, and it's adequately directed by Steve Rash.

    A classic

    I hadn't seen this film for a long time and couldn't resist getting it when I spotted it on the list. It brought back a few memories, and whilst a little dated now, is still an excellent film with a good moral.
