Fed up with his nerdy reputation at high school, Patrick Dempsey pays sexpot senior Amanda Peterson a hard-earned $1,000 to pose as his girlfriend for a month. The image-building works fine until she blows the gaff, and... well, guess. A very predictable boy meets, hires and loses girl saga, this is given far too sentimental a spin to work well as romantic comedy in the “Pretty Woman goes to college” vein. However, Peterson does her level best, providing some fun along the way, and it's adequately directed by Steve Rash.

    A must to be seen

This is an old time favourite film with a story line for youngsters. A real good old time college story film. A hit in the 80's that if watched back then and watched now brings back memories.

Recommend whether seen it before or not. Excellent!
