(6)Pretty boring stuff
By TopDollar (89 reviews) from North Wales , 03 Nov 2007Although David Carradine does a good job as the car racer. I found the overall film to be pretty slow and boring, with characters that were not that credible. Parts are funny, but not funny enough. They could have learned a few lessons from The Cannonball Run (unless that came out later..?).
If you're into car chases etc. then you would probably enjoy parts of this. I don't mind car chases, but I need for the script to be a bit more interesting than this.- Was this review helpful to you?

great movie
By Arcam3:16 from Bedford , 06 Mar 2006I saw this film when I was a kid and thought I would get it again for sheer comical value but I forgot how good this movie was. the genre of the road race movie was quite strong around this time with Gumball rally and Cannonball run. This is a bit more serious(loosley used) and Caradine gives a slick performace as Cannonball. Not bad for a throw away movie not bad at all.- Was this review helpful to you?

Good for a laugh
By a customer from London , 12 Jan 2006I remembered seeing this film as a kid and rented it for old times sake. The acting and plot are a bit 'random' but some of the car action sequences are quite good. If you're into 70's American cars you'll love it, there are a few choice kitch comedy moments, and a very young looking Syvester Stollone stars briefly as a gangsters henchman. Good fun but only if youre into cars or 70s b movies.- Was this review helpful to you?

Not Bad.
By a customer from Essex. England , 01 Sep 2005Wasn't sure I would like this rented it as a friend remembered it from his childhood and being a car nut wanted to see it again. Dvd froze and lost sound a few times. If you like 70's car chase movies give it a go. Don't ask to much from it and you woll be o.k!- Was this review helpful to you?

What a let down
By a customer from London , 06 Mar 2005Should not be confused with The Cannonball Run. Found this film slow paced and only a couple of cars are featured, any action comes mostly at the end of the film. Thought this might of been Cannonball 2 but it certainly isnt.- Was this review helpful to you?
