    talking comics

A bit of an oddity these shows. They're really something for the nostalgic and those interested in comics history - I fit in to both of these catagories and knew beforehand what they were, but I feel that many should be warned, they are not recommended for those drawn to the characters by 21st century movie versions

The Marvel Superheroes shows of 1966, (Sub-mariner, Captain America, Mighty Thor and Iron Man are all available - they also made some of Hulk, but they weren't yet released at the time of writing), are actual panels from the original comics of the early 1960s combined with some very basic animation, (a sort of paper ventriloquist act), and cheesy theme songs.

For those who are interested, this volume contains the Captain America strips from issues of TALES OF SUSPENSE, plus AVENGERS #6, (the first Masters of Evil story, with Wasp & Giant-man editted out for no apparent reason).
