Having seen the good quality of the British comedy actors appearing in this film I was convinved that it would be at least remotely amusing. Unfortunately, in its quest to spoof vintage B movies it ended up equally as poor, in many respects worse. I actually found myself fast forwarding through half of the film because it was really that tedious.
Bad special effects and bad acting are expected from B movie films. Unfortunately, the end result for this spoof of such films makes it look like something a student could have set up at home. Whilst drunk. With people they'd met off the street.
It's equally disappointing because I was hoping to see some great performances from the comedy talent available, such as Mark Heap, Richard Leaf and of course the great Tamsin Greig of Green Wing fame. Alas, although all three seem to be having fun, it just isn't fun to watch.
One to avoid, unless your incredibly drunk.
Could have been fun but it seems the death ray got to it first. Bad very bad, do not watch you have been warned
Rotten. Might have be considered an indulgent, artistic folly if the 'art' (and especially the truly awful graphic design) wasn't of such sub-YouTube amateur quality. May have turned into a masterpiece, didn't make it to the end. Total waste of Tamsin Greig and Mark Heap (albeit lazily doing his signature starey-weird 'Jam' bit).
Curiosity for such an abomination actually making it to the release stage drew me to the 'making of' which was kinda odd and much better than the actual film.

If you are going to make a pastiche of early Dan Dare or Flash Gordon stories you need flair, humour and good acting to carry it off. Unfortunately, this film lacks all three.

I don't normally bother with reading reviews, preferring to make my own mind up, but what has been written about this film are spot on. I think I lasted about half an hour before I had to switch it off. I use the word 'had' because in all honesty it was painful to watch. Probably the worst film I have seen in a very long time.
dont bother adding this to your list worst film ive seen in ages
This trully is a terrible terrible film, one of the worst ive seen and believe me i have witnessed some dire films in my time, actually i quite enjoy bad films,i'm quite a fan of the genre this film is taking off(or trying to)but, god knows how considering the talent involved in the making of it,they missed the mark by a considerably large margin on this one!
Avoid at all costs,if someone like your dear old gran or dotty aunt buys you this for christmas or your birthday,seriously....beat her to death with it then set the dvd on fire, break it into a million pieces and get on with your life, safe in the knowlege that at least that disk wont be dulling the senses of some other poor viewer!
absolute Sh**!
Who are they kidding, even a kid of four could produce something better than this, whos front room did they make it in. probably the worst film ever released, absolute C R A P
We love Tamsin Grieg and usually enjoy everything she does. This one was however very poor. Those who love comics rather than plot might be happy, but for us, even Tamsin couldn't pull it up to watchable.
