    Cute anime!

This is a series centred around Sakura who accidently opens a magic book releasing 'Clow cards' (each represents a spirit with a magical power) and then has to figure out a way of retrieving these cards before the sprirts get up to too much mischief.

All the characters are pleasant enough and Sakura herself is quite cute, even if her older brother insists on calling her 'squirt'!

From doing a few searches on the net, there are over a dozen Cardcaptors DVDs, but only a limited number seem to be available in the UK at the moment.

Note that this particular DVD version contains Americanised voice-overs/accents and character names - if you can manage to ignore that, you should be OK!

    CCS was much better

The Nelvana dub of Cardcaptor Sakura - Cardcaptors - is heavily edited (roughly two thirds of its content are completely missing), confusingly written (where, exactly, is it set for example?), dreadfully voiced (with the exception of Tori) and pathetically scored. It earns three stars for what little adherance to the source plot it has. I would reccomend if you enjoy this in any way that you track down the vastly more entertaining original Japanese CCS.
