3D viewing
By Dean Simmons from South Wales , 07 Dec 2011[Highly rated reviewer]
After my first viewing of a 3d movie on the small screen being cars 2 3D Blu-Ray, i was truly amazed by the quality. The effect was just as impressive as what i have seen in the cinema.
As for the film itself, being a keen fan of any pixar movie, i found it matched up to my expectations while only missing out on five stars due to being slightly inferior to cars 1.- Was this review helpful to you?

(5)Stars In Cars
By Rigamortis (98 reviews) from South London , 08 Nov 2012Is there anything Michael Caine can't do? A talking secret agent car just seems a natural home for his voice. And get those graphics. This is such a clean film. The characters and backgrounds are just so crisp. And wait until you get an eyeful of the CGI London used as the main stage of the story. They could have built central London for real with the man hours it must have taken to reproduce it so faithfully in living CGI 3D. Absolutely magnificent.
As for the story it's as heart-warming, cheeky, quirky, funny and engaging as the first movie. The addition of some truly inspired bond-like sequences just adds icing to the cake.
This is probably the most successful association Lewis Hamilton has had with cars for some time (look out for blink and miss appearance). Fun for all and all for fun.- Was this review helpful to you?

Superb 3D demonstration disk on a good 3D tv
By a customer , 17 Jul 2012Absolutely brilliant 3D, graphics, effects, and so on, as you would expect from the guys at Pixar. The story was a little bit lame, however.
This, probably more so than Avatar, is actually possibly the best demo of 3D viewing on blu ray I've ever seen, however. Much more real than in-yer-face, the 3D blends seamlessly with the rest of the look to simply provide more realism (um, within the confines of a fully artificial animated world of course!), rather than poking you in the eye with deliberately OTT depth like so many 3D movies have done before ...
Annoyingly true-to-life, also, is the way they subtlely dropped the colour saturation on the scenes in the UK .. it's always grey here don'tcha know it ..- Was this review helpful to you?

Mediocre - boring for adults - average for kids
By Mandalorian (25 reviews) from Manchester , 11 Dec 2011My family and I watched this in 3D Blu-Ray and even the 3D effect couldnt bring this movie to anything more than 'just ok'.
1 out of 3 of my kids enjoyed the movie and the other 2 werent impressed. The 1 who liked it is mad on toy cars and things like that anyway so he was bound to love it no matter what.
Its not a bad one for the kids if theres really nothing else you fancy watching but adults beware theres really nothing in this movie for you unlike other cartoony titles which include little jokes and references here and there for the adults.- Was this review helpful to you?
