Teri Garr, Cathy Moriarty and Shelley Duvall reach career lowpoints as a trio of witches hiding away at a summer resort in a straight-to-video release that makes Home Alone look like an exercise in subtlety. Their niece Wendy (the helium-voiced Hilary Duff) is being sought by arched-eyebrow pantomime warlock George Hamilton, because he's been told she's a better witch than him. Somehow or other Casper and the other ghosts become involved, leading to an unbearably manic series of supernatural slapstick shenanigans. An embarrassment for all concerned, although Starship Troopers star Casper Van Dien got off lightly with his one line as “Crewcut Hunk”.

superb family film......
this is a lovely sweet film, ideal for little girls to watch like my 9 year old daughter Bethany. Hilary Duff is so suited to the lead role as Wendy the Good Little Witch.
a real treat particularly with halloween just round the corner. -
