A deputy-district attorney (Patrick Bergin), assigned to investigate the murder of the mayor's cousin, finds himself falling for the victim's wife (Joan Severance) who is immediately being accused of the killing. The attorney, however is not too quick to point the finger at the new widow, especially since he's already made the mistake of jailing an innocent woman in the past. Against direct orders from his boss (Michael Ironside), he continues to relentlessly investigate the crime.

This offering brings a whole new depth to the meaning of 'B' movie.
Pedestrian, impenetrable, lacking in any kind of sparkle. We did not manage to get beyond the 30 minute mark.
I could count on 1 hand the amount of times I have started to watch a film and thought 'I can't watch this', unfortunately 'Cause of Death' fell into this category. The disc arrived whilst I was on holiday, a few days after my return I put it on. The cinematography was awful, photography poor and scene set up cliched. I felt like I was watching a 'made for tv movie' and it was poor at that. I turned it off thinking I can't watch this. A couple of days later I put it on again and it seemed worse. So it was the first disc I've had that I returned without viewing - horrendous not reccommended at all
