    Cav and Pag

Rather than using stage productions, these two operas are filmed and filmed beautifully. The singing was also excellent. Definitely highly recommended.

    Double standards

This was a game of two halves---'Cav' left me totally unmoved, probably due to the ever-present Santuzza who screamed her way through the opera like a scorched harpie.

'Pag', on the other hand was totally engaging---sensuous, moving and affecting.
