Chachi 420 Details

Mrs Doubtfire gets the Bollywood treatment in this highly entertaining comedy drama from actor/director Kamal Haasan. Forced to pose as a nanny to secure access to his daughter, divorced choreographer Haasan attempts to win back the affection of his ex-wife, Tabu, only to find himself fighting off the attentions of her tycoon father, Amrish Puri. Although the excellent Om Puri provides a little villainy, as Amrish's suspicious secretary, this is much more innocent than Robin Williams's blockbuster Hollywood version. Yet, behind the slapstick and comic misunderstandings the movie has a few telling things to say about class and the role of women in modern Indian society.
