Everything Is Connected
By Othona (1 review) from Surbiton , 09 Sep 2009[Highly rated reviewer]
The amazing diversity of this planet in all its forms is celebrated by David Attenborough in many of his award winning documentaries. Here he has the chance to give an insight into the theory behind the variety of organisms the world sustains and the man who first brought it to our attention.
Intricately detailed by a virtual tree of life, it charts the beginnings of life in the sea and the evolution of species, by land air and water through to the world we live in today.
The documentary features an account of Charles Darwins amazing journey, from the birth of what was a highly controversial idea in a predominantly Christian nineteenth century society to the publication of his discovery in his seminal work On the Origin of Species.
With fascinating observations on his family life and his voyage on the HMS Beagle this beautifully documented piece vividly explores the evolutionary process and the mind behind it all.- Was this review helpful to you?
