    [Highly rated reviewer]

A series of murders and a stolen database of witness protection profiles reunites Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and Luy Liu. The captivating trio once again demonstrates their more than apt martial arts and talent for disguise. They cross paths with a former 'angel' gone bad(Demi Moore). Bernie Mac plays Jimmy Bosley and provides some comic relief.

There is an all-star lineup in support:Crispin Glover, Robert Patrick, Luke Wilson and Matt LeBlanc. Watch for the cameo by Bruce Willis. Yes, John Forsythe is still the voice of 'Charlie'. This story of crime fighting is contrived and a bit silly: but the action provides first class escape. Your mission was well done, thanks again ANGELS!

The first Charlie’s Angels film, starring Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz and Lucy Lui, was a success, therefore it got the inevitable sequel. However, despite much promotion from the studio, it picked up more than its fair share of harsh criticism, turning it into a bit of a ‘flop.’ Personally, I really enjoyed it. Yes, it’s daft. Yes, it’s cheesy. And, yes, some scenes look more like they belong in an advert for shampoo. But, at the end of the day, it’s pretty harmless fun. Before you watch it, you just have to sit down with the biggest pinch of salt you’ve ever taken to get the most out of it. The phrase ‘in real life’ isn’t needed when watching Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle. Nothing here is applicable to real life. Three wafer thin women kick the hell out of numerous muscular men (and Demi Moore) without coming away with a scratch. Stupid. But stupid fun. It never tries to take itself seriously, with its playful use of daft sound effects and numerous sexual innuendos. It’s about as true to life as a Roger Moore James Bond film (of which I’m also a huge fan!). Men will doubtless have the added bonus of watching three Hollywood women in a range of ‘flattering’ and most revealing costumes. Maybe the producers of the film will try to make us believe that this is some sort of ‘feminist’ movie with powerful women beating up men. Hmm, that’s one I won’t dare to even try to debate! Ultimately, think of Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle as a life-action cartoon, as it’s more cartoonish than real. If you think you can do that, you’ll probably enjoy it. If you’re all for realistic, gritty, dark action, then you’re probably better off with something like The Bourne Identity, Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy, or Daniel Craig’s Bond reboot. Note: added kudos for the film-makers for getting Bruce Willis assassinated by his ex wife – made me chuckle anyway!

  • Only recommended for shampoo advert fans

I never had any intention of watching this movie. The original was a so-so action movie that was interesting only for the inclusion of Bill Murray.

This sequel takes the original formula and creates a far inferior product. The action scenes are the same mix of terrible wire based stunts and unnecesary slow motion moments that more resemble a shampoo advert rather than a action movie. The plot is simply a rehash of over used plots and characters from better spy entertainment over the years. The weakest link for the movie are the 3 actresses portraying the Angels.

Drew Barrymore has long been a case of looks over talent, her inability to make even the most straightforward line of dialogue seem sincere or natural is evident throughout this movie.

Lucy Lui's performance would be better suited to a 30 second Revlon advert than a feature length movie, a shallow and charisma free display of acting.

Cameron Diaz gives her usual terrible performance, her belief that a big smile is a coverall for a lack of talent is in full force.

If you are a fan of movies please avoid this like the plague, if you are a fan of shampoo ads, then this is for you.

  • An average sequel to a great first movie

After thoroughly enjoying the first movie I was quite disappointed with this inferior second offering. It is, without a doubt, a bad movie. Is it bad in a sort of guilty pleasure way? Mostly, yes. I mean if like me, you are happy watching Cameron Diaz's perfect little derriere all the time and seeing the trio in skimpy outfits every ten minutes, then there is much enjoyment to be had. And the fightscenes are actually really fun to watch. Even the completely ridiculous action is quite entertaining - as it's all done without taking itself seriously, it mostly gets away with it. There are several cameos throughout, the one with Bruce Willis being by far the coolest scene in the entire movie. Unfortunately, this didn't have the overall quality of the first movie, there are quite a lot of plain stupid ideas, some naff lines and some surprisingly crude jokes too for saying this is a 12. The first was a real pleasure to watch from start to finish - this one is mostly fun but not something I would ever recommend. It really is generally a below average sequel and personally I will most definitely be buying it on DVD....if only to see more of Cameron.

  • Never watch this..!

    Ever.

    It is beyond awful.

The story line seems to have been put together by a three year old.

The action scenes, well there are to many and all with poorly done CGI.

Some of the actors in this film are just terrible.

And as for name dropping :|

Bruce Willis, John Cleese, the one you played Princess Lea (star wars) Cant remember her name.

But it seems to be a way to pull in the audience, by having a load of cameos.

If you wanted to keep you sanity, and not waste ust under two hours of your life.

    Never watch it.

Now I know why there isnt a third one, lol.
