Who would have thought that director McG could outdo himself in the vapid stakes with the sequel to 2000's vacuous Charlie's Angels? Well, give that man a prize, because despite a higher budget here, he's managed to make the original look like an Oscar winner. More financial flash simply equals more celluloid trash, and no amount of Matrix-style special effects, irritating cameos and tedious skits can disguise that fact. Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu are all very cute as they reprise their special agent roles — this time hunting two stolen rings encrypted with the true identities of incognito federal witnesses — but their endless costume changes and innuendo-riddled dialogue need a plot to support them. It's only “fallen” Angel Demi Moore and returning villain Crispin Glover who have any genuine screen presence. Unfortunately, their inadequately scripted roles are entirely ineffective in a picture obsessed with style over content.

    They're no Angels

A series of murders and a stolen database of witness protection profiles reunites Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and Luy Liu. The captivating trio once again demonstrates their more than apt martial arts and talent for disguise. They cross paths with a former 'angel' gone bad(Demi Moore). Bernie Mac plays Jimmy Bosley and provides some comic relief.

There is an all-star lineup in support:Crispin Glover, Robert Patrick, Luke Wilson and Matt LeBlanc. Watch for the cameo by Bruce Willis. Yes, John Forsythe is still the voice of 'Charlie'. This story of crime fighting is contrived and a bit silly: but the action provides first class escape. Your mission was well done, thanks again ANGELS!

    Unrealistic

This movie tried to build on top of the first movie but somehow went completely over the top. When watching it you can’t help laughing at how ridiculous the stunts are. There are a whole host of cameo appearances which are outlined in the special features section of the DVD. Don’t expect anything great from this movie but it is a lot of fun if a touch on the ludicrous side.

So many people misunderstand this movie

    (and it's predecessor)

If you are looking for high class cinema, try somewhere else. If you are looking for pure 100% trash, oh baby, you've found solid gold. From the over the top characters, the 'lets see what type of story line can weave together these other things we want to do', to the spoofs of ... LOTS, to the seeing what a good plastic Sergent can do to Demi Moore. Be in a good mood to watch this movie, and be prepared for it to be trashy. (Its why i loved it so much!)

This movie did nothing for me whatsoever. Unrealsitic stunts coupled with washed out, hammy performances made me want to vomit. Of course, Cameron, Lucy and Drew looked stunning, not to mention Demi.

Set somewhere really vague, 3 girls from totally different walks of life are thrown together as Charlie's Angels. Charlie, Who has to be way past 100 years old by now, is still just a voice with no face (and frankly, I'm quite tired of that and the whole 1970's concept.) Anyway, they have to find two missing rings which hold incripted details of all persons ion the FBI witness protection list. OOOPs! They fall into dangerous hands, those of ex - angel Madison (Demi) - Who has lost her mind and her cellulite in this 'let's look at my body' extravaganza.

CRASH! BANG! WHACK! BAM! Angels save the day in the true kick-ass way that can only be Hollywood papp......The End.

The bottom line being - This film has glam, babes, huge stunts and lots of efx - but it lost the plot a long, long time ago. rent it if mindless viewing is your thing, if not, you're better off buying a copy of Playboy. The articles are better!

We didn't realy enjoy this, the first film we thought was quite good but this was a real send up just to far fetched for us! If you liked the 70's series then don't watch this.

A feast for your eyes and ears

This film was never going to win any oscars. It is also clearly aimed at a particular age bracket (PG13). Having seen the first, I was pretty sure what the second would entail, and I wasn't disappointed. The movie floods your audio-visual senses, a bit like watching a music video for an hour and a half. It's just good fun, with beautiful women, beautiful cars, lots of action, and characters who quite literally can do anything, to the point where they look a bit like something out of a cartoon. I forgive McG his artistic licence, as he's made an entertaining movie. Sit back, and indulge in the fantasy.

Well this is the biggest load of trash i've seen in an age. The story was non existent, the movie itself was made up of, bad acting, terrible CGI effects, far too OTT stunts and far much time trying to get as many cameos in as possible. I would strongly advise everyone avoiding this, even if your being tortured somewhere and they put this on, pretend you like it, so that they put something better on. My advice... avoid at all costs.

Lucy and Cameron - what more could you want! Oh yeah and Drew!

Lucy is fantastic in this action/comedy filled with great actresses and special effects! It can be a bit over the top and un releastic at times but in my opinion thats why its great! The story is just as good as the first although lacking a bit of emotion in the relationships. Overall a good night in!
