McG will never return to Charlie's Angels

Mcg will never direct another Charlie'S Angels movie - because he wants to concentrate on establishing himself as a sci-fi film-maker. McG was at the helm of the 2000 big screen version of the classic TV series, starring Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu, and returned to direct the sequel, Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle, in 2003. Drew Barrymore has confessed she's not completely sober after a youth spent battling drug and alcohol issues and a stint in rehab. The actress claims to have found "balance" in her life, which means she doesn't have to cut out all the things she used to be addicted to. The stars came out in force to support Cameron Diaz as she was honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Monday (22Jun09). Gondry takes charge of Green Hornet

French filmmaker Michel Gondry has officially stepped in to take charge of forthcoming comic book movie Green Hornet. Gondry was widely tipped to replace director Stephen Chow earlier this month (Jul09) and now Columbia Pictures spokesman Steve Elzer has confirmed the appointment to the Associated Press.
