Cate tries her best with a weak adaptation of a good book. If you hadnt read the book you wouldnt understand why she came to be in London. Most of director's attention when on the asthetics - ie clothes, locations etc - whereas the storyline could have been better addressed. One to watch with granny on a Sunday afternoon.
