    [Highly rated reviewer]

Just came back from a pre-screening of both parts and have to say that I had great five hours in the cinema. This (second) part tells the story of Che’s efforts in Bolivia after his success in Cuba. Most of us know him from his activities in Cuba, hence this part is really worth watching. I am really glad that I had a chance to watch both parts at once. It was like watching two different scenarios of same concept. If you can then you should spare four and a half hours and watch both parts together after they release the second in February.

Really good effort from Soderbergh. Benicio’s performance was outstanding.

Be prepared to read subtitles most of the time unless you know Spanish.

del toro is great but I didn't like the choppy editing. Nice idea to intersperse the 'newsreel' but . . . It didn't grip me.

I found part 1 really difficult to stick with as the action seemed really slow paced and a bit lacking. Part 2 however really had me. It felt a bit like a history lesson come to life. Obviously I am aware that there are different perspectives on Che Guevara and his motivation/behaviour but I really loved learning much more about him. It made more sense because I'd watched part 1. I really enjoyed it. Very thought provoking for me.

Latin America is a very big place, and Che would liked to have changed it all. From the moment Ernesto Guevara boarded The Granma for Cuba, he knew his life of study as an Argentinian doctor would never be the same again. If you ever wondered why Ernesto 'Che' Guevara is not alive today, winning the hearts and minds of the oppressed millions around the world, then this film tells you why. Realistically shot with an anxious air of uncertainty that builds tension until the inevitable end.Steven Soderberg et all tell the story well in a tribute to the most famous revolutionary in history. Ernesto 'Che' Guevara in his sacrifice, lives on in the hearts and minds of all those who knew him, and in the hearts and minds of all those that know him now through this film.

'To accomplish much, you must first loose everything.'

    Ernesto 'Che' Guevara (1928-1967)

A well made and seemingly accurate account of Che's brave but futile attempt to start a revolution in Bolivia. Things didn't look very promising from the beginning and then go from bad to worse. The film depicts the hardships faced by the revolutionaries as they are hunted down by the superior forces of the Bolivian army, aided of course by the Americans. Soderburgh certainly knows how to tell a good story.
