Another sadly lacking ...By a customer from AYLESFORD , 22 Jun 2004
[Highly rated reviewer]Another sadly lacking Steve Martin vehicle, maybe cheaper by the dozen defines the number of lacklustre scripts that Steve Martin has agreed to star in. ( guess we have a couple more still to come) The story is sacchrine sweet with some home alone style sabotage antics by the kids making this just the right side of pathetic. Watchable, and the wife said she thought it was a nice feelgood movie.
This is a movie far removed from Steves heyday films like Dead men and the Jerk.

Cheaper by the dozenBy wiselady1950 (148 reviews) from Ilfracombe, Devon , 17 Apr 2009Good comedy more than slightly unbelievable.
great for kidsBy rpopper65 (151 reviews) from London , 21 Mar 2009My daughter can watch this movie (and the sequel) over and over and over again. I might have to buy it for her.
But I found it unwatchable. I can't watch Steve Martin who was so insanely funny in The Jerk and clever in Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid, and even pulled off some wildly brilliant physical comedy in All of Me, in this mawkish crap. Sort of like watching Peter Sellers in one of those dreadful 'just sign the check and film this crap before I think too hard about it' Pink Panther sequels. Painful.
ExcellentBy EmmaaLouisee (4 reviews) from Northumberland, England , 06 Feb 2009Cheaper by the dozen is an excellent film full of comedy. Steve Martin stars as the father of twelve children who get up to allsorts. This film is definatly a must see.
12 THE LUCKY NUMBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!By a customer from Hockley , 02 Oct 2008Good family film!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Customer ReviewBy a customer from UK , 23 Jun 2008This is a fantastic family film. There wasn't a moment where I didn't want to laugh out loud and for once in an American comedy it didn't fall into the sentimental trap so many of them do. There was no cringe worthy moments and the film was such a joy, I immediately ordered it through Amazon. All the cast were perfectly believable and it was obvious they all got on great with each other, and the out-takes at the end were just wonderful. See this film if you can, buy it you must!
